Hi Edwin,
Thank you for your post. I will be happy to help.
There are lots of reasons why you cannot edit PDF files, some of them are simple and straightforward, meaning you will have a solution in no time and others may be difficult and not very easy to solve. The following are the top 5 reasons why most people can't edit a PDF file and what you can do to remedy the situation.
1. The PDF document was created without the necessary administrative rights
Sometimes you may be unable to open the PDF file because the creator of the document turned off the editing capability. Working around this problem is really easy. all you need to do is use a PDF reader that allows editing.2. The PDF document may be protected
Some people protect PDF documents from being edited or tampered with. So if you can't edit PDF documents check to see if they are protected.3. Using the wrong PDF software package
There are some PDF readers that don't allow you to edit the document because the OCR option is not activated or used.Click the "OCR" tab button and the software will recognize the text
Once OCR is complete, you will be able to edit the PDF file accordingly. Open the "Edit" tab to see the range of edits you can do to your scanned PDF file.
Modify the text on your PDF by clicking the "Edit" icon on the top-right toolbar. Click anywhere on the document to add, delete, or change the existing text. Add a new set of texts by clicking on the "Add Text" button.
Click any object in the PDF file to edit images and diagrams. You can delete the object by right-clicking it and choosing the "Delete" option. You can also cut or copy objects using this step. Select the object to reposition it around your document. To add a new image file to the document, click the "Add Image" button.
In case you face an issue with the particular file, please contact technical support directly.
