Hi there,
Thank you for your post.
There are two ways to add a video to a PDF. In the first method, you could set an image as a thumbnail for a link that leads to a video on the web. This is ideal for publicly available PDFs that could drive viewers to your content. It also keeps the size of the PDF small and compact. The second method involves adding the video directly to the PDF.
When embedding video directly into a PDF, it's important to remember that you have only a few acceptable file type options. These include MOV and MP4 video files but beware that MOV files will only work on machines with QuickTime installed. Window Media Player video files, also known as WMV, will work as embedded video.
Once the PDF file is opened in PDF Suite, click on the "REVIEW" tab at the top. Under the "Comment" tab, you'll see the "Attach file" icon, a paper clip. Navigate to the page where you want to place the video and click on it. This will create an icon for the video you'll be attaching in the following step, and you can customize this icon by changing its attributes.
In the Open dialog box, choose the video file and hit "Open". You can now change the appearance of the icon in the right-side Properties sidebar. The icon you see on the PDF page now contains the video to be embedded.
The attachment has now been uploaded to the PDF in your chosen location. To open the attachment at play the video, you can right-click on the icon (View mode). And your video will be open and played.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
