RéponduI have a Standard version of PDF Suite. Is there any way to put symbols in a PDF edit such as a 'tick' (in a box).

Hi Marion,
Thank you for your post. I will be happy to help.
If you need a quick fix, here are a few symbols to choose from that you can copy and paste directly into your PDF document.

A copy shortcut is to highlight the text and press Ctrl+C; then place your cursor where you’d like to paste the text and press Ctrl+V.
Copying and pasting are handy, but if you’ll be using these symbols more than once, it’s a good idea to learn to find them on your own so that you don’t have to keep referring to this post.
You can use a character code to insert symbols if your keyboard has a separate number pad. To do this, you’ll have to change your font to Wingdings 2, hold down Shift, and type in the letter pertaining to the symbol you need.
In case you need a fillable box (for the forms or surveys) you need to upgrade your STD package to the PRO one
